About Gamal
Gamal Casimir is the
Director of Quality & Program Management at Performance Plus International,
where he brings more than 30 years of cross-sector leadership experience to
organizations navigating change, growth, and operational complexity. His career
spans military health services administration, healthcare project management at
a major integrated health system, education, and independent consulting.
Gamal spent two decades as
a military Health Services Management officer, holding leadership positions at
hospitals in the United States and overseas. As Assistant Hospital
Administrator at a stateside military hospital, he led the facility's
accreditation preparation efforts, achieving a 95 percent rating from a
national healthcare accrediting body. As Director of Business Operations and
Beneficiary Services at an overseas military hospital, he managed a $2.2
million operating budget and a multinational staff of 20, marketing healthcare
benefits to 9,500 beneficiaries and coordinating thousands of medical referrals
annually.
After retiring from the
United States Air Force in 2005, Gamal spent 13 years in progressively senior
roles at a major integrated health system. As Trainer and Learning Management
Systems Administrator, he led training implementations for the organization's
electronic medical record rollout and served as the regional lead for an
industry-wide coding system transition. As Project Manager in Revenue Cycle, he
led cross-functional initiatives that modernized patient payment systems,
deployed self-service kiosks across 29 locations, and authored the regional
Payment Card Industry compliance policy.
Gamal brings a rare
combination of strategic vision and operational discipline, grounded in decades
of leading teams through complex change.
