About Kyra

Kyra Hundley  is a Training and Development Specialist at Performance Plus International, where she designs and develops engaging, accessible learning experiences for the organizations PPI serves. She brings to her work a distinctive combination of formal instructional design training, hands-on UX design expertise, and a deep commitment to creating learning that meets people where they are.

Kyra holds a Master of Education in Learning Technology and Instructional Design from Western Governors University and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University, where she specialized in UX Design. This cross-disciplinary foundation, instructional theory paired with visual design and user experience, shapes how she approaches every project. She doesn't just build training. She designs learner experiences, applying the same rigor to a course interface that a UX designer would apply to a consumer app.

Her work spans the full instructional design lifecycle: conducting learner analysis, structuring content using evidence-based frameworks like ADDIE and SAM, building interactive modules in Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate, prototyping in Figma, and ensuring everything meets accessibility standards including WCAG 2.1 and Universal Design for Learning principles. She is fluent in SCORM and xAPI standards and experienced with learning management systems including Canvas and Moodle.

Kyra is committed to data-informed instructional strategies, using learner analytics, feedback loops, and iterative testing to continuously improve the learning experience. Her research interests include the use of emerging technologies in education such as AI and immersive media, and how UX principles can make online learning more usable and effective. She brings to PPI a designer's eye, a learner-centered ethic, and the technical depth to translate strategy into production-ready training assets.
