About Jorie

Jorie Rao is a Curriculum Designer and Training Facilitator at Performance Plus International, where she brings more than a decade of experience designing and delivering inclusive, trauma-informed education programs. Her work spans community health, higher education, and nonprofit settings, with a particular strength in translating complex content into accessible, learner-centered experiences that respect the people in the room.

For the past several years, Jorie has led the design and facilitation of comprehensive education programs at a community health nonprofit, where she develops curriculum for youth, adults, and professionals across diverse community settings. She partners with peer organizations to co-develop outreach initiatives, refines training based on participant feedback and program data, and ensures all materials meet trauma-informed and inclusive frameworks. Her work routinely contributes to grant compliance, outcomes reporting, and funding renewal.

Jorie spent a decade as an English Instructor and Curriculum Coordinator at a community college, where she taught more than 1,500 students and led curriculum redesign initiatives that increased student satisfaction scores by 15 percent over two semesters. She mentored adjunct faculty and contributed to strategic planning committees, building the institutional knowledge that informs her approach to organizational learning today.

She brings to PPI a rare combination of pedagogical expertise, writing craft, and on-the-ground facilitation experience, all grounded in an inclusive, evidence-informed approach to learning. Jorie's approach to curriculum and facilitation is grounded in trauma-informed practice, cultural responsiveness, and a commitment to meeting learners where they are. She designs programs that don't just transfer knowledge but build the kind of environment where people feel safe enough to actually engage, ask hard questions, and bring their whole selves to the work.
